Hello Friends,
March ended with a spiritual retreat for all Niger IMB Missionaries. All came into Niamey... We had fun reuniting with old friends and making new ones. Our spirits were lifted and we were sent out to do more of what God has sent us here to do... Praise His Holy Name for good health and His love and guidance..
We have been busy. With retreats, conferences and our usual bible sessions with our believers and non believers. Randy, Mark and our local partners held a conference last week for believers from our villages. We had a high with a total of 23... We were very excited to see so many B's that wanted to learn more about their faith in Christ. God is so good!!! It is wonderful to be able to watch God work in and through their lives. We are blessed... Thanking our Father every day for sending us to Niger. We serve an awesome God!
Last Sunday we attended a local church not knowing that the temperature soared to around 122 degrees. It was hot!!! Please pray for our health. As most of you know we are not spring chickens anymore. The older we get the hotter the heat seems to us. We want to be able to stay here until God releases us and we are praying it will not be b/c of health problems. But that He is just ready to move us on to wherever...
As we came home last Sunday from church a woman from one of our villages was waiting at the door. She had come to check on Randy's health. She hadn't seen us since we came back 2009 from all our operations. We had another chance to witness to her. She reminded us of the Woman at the Well, when Jesus was talking to her, she kept making excusses. As did Fara (not her real name). Please pray for her. We tried to explain to her that the only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ. Not us or anyone else. She didn't accept Christ nor did she change her mind about how she is spiritually. She is still trying to work her way to heaven. Please pray for her salvation.
We are looking forward to a busy summer. We have two summer missionaries coming out and a new family to join the Songhai Team. We are praising God for them all..
Rom 5:8 But God commends His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.
I am still amazed that my Lord would die for me... We serve an amazing, wonderful and sovereign God!

Stopped while reading your post to pray for your health. Your faithfulness and obedience is so encouraging and to see your strong testimony. Keep posting, enjoy keeping up with you guys.
