WoW! Tomorrow we will be back three weeks! Time is flying! We were excited to see the believers continue on in their faith in our absence. God is so very good! They have grown in their faith and are continuing to want to learn more. One of our believers that lives in village K, whom we thought to be illiterate, has revealed to us that he can read Arabic. So we gave him an Arabic Bible last week. He was like a child in a candy store. He thanked us and opened it and started to read the Arabic but it came out Zarma. He was translating for us! He fell in love with the Word of God that day! It was so wonderful to see! He is a strong believer who has withstood much persecution... Please continue to pray for him. That is H from village K. We have to start taking precautions to protect our believers since it is getting unstable here.
We met our believer from A that has just lost his wife to an illness. He seemed to be strong in his faith. Wants to return to N for more teaching. His story is: the chief would not allow him to bury his wife in the cemetery because they are Christians. The chief thinking this would make him turn back to Islam., but I (believer) turned to the chief and told him he would bury his wife without the chiefs help. When I made that stand his brothers and sisters in the Lord came and stood beside him. They as a Christian family stood together and buried I's wife. The threat here is that if they become christians there will be no one to bury them when they die. That threat is gone!!!!! Praise God! This group of Christians have learned that if they stay together they can accomplish anything the Lord wants them too! PTL!!!!! Please continue to pray for the B's in village A.
1. for safety.
2. Growth in their new faith.
We had elections last week. We are still waiting for the results. Please pray that whoever is put in office will tolerate Christianity and allow us to continue in the work the Lord has sent us all here to do...
Eph 6:10 - 20
Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength.
Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil.
For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.
This is why you must take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand.
Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist, righteousness like armor on your chest,
and your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace.
In every situation take the shield of faith, and with it you will be able to extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God's word.
With every prayer and request, pray at all times in the Spirit, and stay alert in this, with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.
Pray also for me, that the message may be given to me when I open my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel.
For this I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I might be bold enough in Him to speak as I should.
Thank you all for reading our blog. May God bless you all!
